Once upon a time there were two goats.........

Noddy & Boots - born 2004

As a commercial Beef & Sheep farm, we thought it only right to get our toddlers their own farm pets.  Little did we know the huge part these funny little men would play in our family.

Enter Noddy & Boots, a pair of Pygmy Goats who were brothers.  Boots (white face) lived to be 15 years old and we lost Noddy (black face) last year at the grand old age of 17 years old.  They were the most wonderful additions to our family and lived free range on our farm, literally roaming wherever they fancied.

Noddy & Boots

sadly we lost these two special boys aged 15 and 17 years old..... but our farm and our hearts were empty without them

But it was just too quiet around here without them... so....

Herbert & Percy

Herbert & Percy

Born spring 2022

Herbert & Percy were the first arrivals, back in August 2022. Herbert & Percy are classic pygmy goats, full of energy and always up to mischief. Percy is very friendly, however Herbert is a peculiar character; he isn’t bothered on attention but will happily climb all over you if armed with a biscuit.

Batman & Robin

Herbert & Percy

Born spring 2022.

They moved in shortly after Herbert & Percy

Batman & Robin are Golden Guernsey’s, a breed typically used for dairy products such as goats cheese. Robin is the neediest goat in the world and adores a cuddle. He also loves playing on his seesaw. Batman also loves fuss, and will try to eat anything that dangles…zips, hair, toggles are all fair game.

Wilma, Velma & Daphne

Wilma born 2022, her twins Daphne & Velma born May 2023

Wilma, a Boer goat, gave birth to her two female kids in May 2023; Velma and Daphne, and have been with us since they were 2 weeks old. Wilma is the boss of the herd, and is the greediest goat…this has meant she has raised two bossy, greedy babies – but they also have the kindest nature and adore snuggles.

Betty

Born 2022

Betty is a year-old Anglo-Nubian cross. She is very playful and loves to climb and jump, however she is a bit shy around people, but is slowly getting more confident and loves a treat.

Harry & Ron

Born 2023

Harry and Ron are some of our newest arrivals, in September 2023. They are relatives of Batman and Robin, coming from the same herd. Harry & Ron’s mothers couldn’t raise them, consequently they were bottle fed as babies, so they are incredibly friendly.

Jim & Pam

Born Summer 2023

Jim & Pam are our newest herd members and the youngest.  They are miniature pygmy goats, brother & sister.  They are really tiny and a little shy.  But if you are kind, quiet & patient, they may venture over to take a snack from you.

Gabriella

Peppa & George

Peppa & George

Moved here in Spring 2024 with her babies. Gabriella is a Toggenburg, a breed of goat that originates from Switzerland. Don’t be put off by her big horns, she absolutely loves some TLC and is very gentle. However thanks to her big horns and size, she is one of the leaders of the herd!

Peppa & George

Peppa & George

Peppa & George

 Born spring 2024

Children of Gabriella’s, they are Toggenburg (mum) x Anglo Nubian (dad). These 2 are always getting into trouble, and love to get stuck in fences while trying to reach grass on the other side of the fence!

Angelica

Peppa & George

Monty & Willow

Born 2023

Angelica is another Golden Guernsey, related to the rest of the Guernseys. She is Ron’s full sister, but has only lived here a few months, while Ron moved in a year before, so they have been reunited! She is just as loving and friendly as her brother, and is very gentle. Not to mention incredibly pretty!

Monty & Willow

Monty & Willow

Monty & Willow

 Born spring 2024

These two cuties are brother and sister, and are related to our 5 other Guernseys. Monty is confident and loves a cuddle. Willow, his sister, is a little more reserved, but enjoys attention as long as you are gentle and quiet with her. The pair absolutely adore each other and are never far apart.

Gary

Monty & Willow

Gary

 Born 2021

Gary is a typical Pygmy goat. He likes to get up to mischief, and is encouraged by Percy, another trouble-maker pygmy. The pair are often found on their hind legs play fighting. Despite only being here a few months, he has settled in well and very much enjoys all the fuss he gets here at Noddy’s Ark!
