As a commercial Beef & Sheep farm, we thought it only right to get our toddlers their own farm pets. Little did we know the huge part these funny little men would play in our family.
Enter Noddy & Boots, a pair of Pygmy Goats who were brothers. Boots (white face) lived to be 15 years old and we lost Noddy (black face) last year at the grand old age of 17 years old. They were the most wonderful additions to our family and lived free range on our farm, literally roaming wherever they fancied.
sadly we lost these two special boys aged 15 and 17 years old..... but our farm and our hearts were empty without them
Born spring 2022
Herbert & Percy were the first arrivals, back in August 2022. Herbert & Percy are classic pygmy goats, full of energy and always up to mischief. Percy is very friendly, however Herbert is a peculiar character; he isn’t bothered on attention but will happily climb all over you if armed with a biscuit.
Born spring 2022.
They moved in shortly after Herbert & Percy
Batman & Robin are Golden Guernsey’s, a breed typically used for dairy products such as goats cheese. Robin is the neediest goat in the world and adores a cuddle. He also loves playing on his seesaw. Batman also loves fuss, and will try to eat anything that dangles…zips, hair, toggles are all fair game.
Wilma born 2022, her twins Daphne & Velma born May 2023
Wilma, a Boer goat, gave birth to her two female kids in May 2023; Velma and Daphne, and have been with us since they were 2 weeks old. Wilma is the boss of the herd, and is the greediest goat…this has meant she has raised two bossy, greedy babies – but they also have the kindest nature and adore snuggles.
Born 2022
Betty is a year-old Anglo-Nubian cross. She is very playful and loves to climb and jump, however she is a bit shy around people, but is slowly getting more confident and loves a treat.
Born 2023
Harry and Ron - born in September 2023. They are relatives of Batman and Robin, coming from the same herd. They are incrediby friendly, with the typical calm golden guernsey nature. They are best friends, spending all of their time together. They also love a walk!
Born Summer 2023
Jim & Pam - the mischeif makers! They are miniature pygmy goats, brother & sister. Jim is very friendly and loves fuss, however Pam takes a bit more convincing. She is also the sassiest goat on the farm, often found picking fights on goats double her size.
Moved here in Spring 2024 with her babies. Gabriella is a Toggenburg, a breed of goat that originates from Switzerland. Don’t be put off by her big horns, she absolutely loves some TLC and is very gentle. However thanks to her big horns and size, she is one of the leaders of the herd!
Born spring 2024
Children of Gabriella’s, they are Toggenburg (mum) x Anglo Nubian (dad). These 2 are always getting into trouble, and love to get stuck in fences while trying to reach grass on the other side of the fence! Both love attention and cuddles, just like their mumma.
Born 2023
Angelica is another Golden Guernsey, related to the rest of the Guernseys. She is Ron’s full sister, but has only lived here a few months, while Ron moved in a year before, so they have been reunited! She is just as loving and friendly as her brother, and is very gentle. Not to mention incredibly pretty!
Born spring 2024
These two cuties are brother and sister, and are related to our 5 other Guernseys. Monty is confident and loves a cuddle. Willow, his sister, is a little more reserved, but enjoys attention as long as you are gentle and quiet with her. The pair absolutely adore each other and are never far apart.
Born 2021
Gary is a typical Pygmy goat. He likes to get up to mischief, and is encouraged by Percy, another trouble-maker pygmy. The pair are often found on their hind legs play fighting. Gary acts like a cat, he will weave in and out of your legs and use you as a human scratching post.
Born Christmas 2024
What little characters! Their attitudes are ten times bigger than they are! They are all siblings and half siblings. They love a cuddle and are very affectionate, mischeivious and playful. They love a human climbing frame, so be careful bending down around them, or they may hop on for a piggy back ride! They are also escape artists.
Peanut is 2.5 years old. We rehomed her along with Bramble & Raspberry recently due to their old owners moving house. Peanut is SO affectionate and prefers humans to goats. She is a minature pygmy goat, and is tiny! Weighing in at only 13kg, she is the smallest goat on the farm.
We are unsure of Bramble & Raspberry's age due to us being their third home, so we don't know all their history. They are both long coated pygmy goats. Due to Bramble's long messy coat, she gets quite itchy, so she loves a good brush! She is very friendly and has fit in well with the herd, after establisihing her place in the pecking order.
Raspberry spends all of her time with her sister Bramble. She often hides behind Bramble, who is the leader of their little herd of 3. Raspberry is affetionate, however she prefers for you to be calm in her presence. She hasn't come out of her shell just yet, so appreciates people being kind and patient with her.
